The Chernigiv region is an ancient Ukrainian land, famous for its wonderful Polesja nature, the clean air of coniferous forest and oak#woods and the curative Desna's water. Old cities, fortresses and castles tell us the long-standing history of the Siversky lands. Some works of park art in Trostianets, Sokyrynzi and Kachanivka are startling. Polesja land is beautiful in autumn. Forest flowers are still blooming, hazel-nuts are ripe and mushrooms go up everywhere. Colours of an autumn forest charm a heart. Especially young villagers were waiting for this season. After Pokrova (the Christian holiday) the time for weddings and youth parties came. So October was called " a marriage month". On Chernigiv land there are a lot of memorial places related to the life of such famous people, as Prince Igor, poet Shevchenko, hetman Rozumovsky and many others.
